We pre-cut lumber in smaller sizes as well to ensure you never buy 8’ lumber when a 6’ piece will do. Saving you money and reducing lumber waste. Just let us know what your project requires.

Dressed Lumber
DRESSED LUMBER is planed after it has dried on all four sides. This additional processing from its ‘rough cut’ original size creates a more consistent lumber finish and works out further imperfections from the drying process. So a 4″ x 4″ post becomes a 3-½” x 3-½” post with a smooth finished texture you’ll appreciate when working. You would receive dressed lumber at any big box store when purchasing lumber.
Rough Lumber
ROUGH LUMBER is an option unique to buying directly from the mill. It has been cut to size and dried but not planed. This product is much rougher and truer to size. You’ll receive an actual 4″ x 4″ piece of lumber while displaying more of the woods’ unique texture. An excellent product for rustic arbour, garden builds, or, as a custom woodworker, you might appreciate the opportunity to plane, sand and dress down the lumber yourself.
